FOCUS: Lifestyle Redesign • Sensory Processing • Autism Spectrum Disorder • ADHD • Routine Building • Environmental Modifications
Dr. Katherine Lewis is a licensed occupational therapist with experience working in both pediatric and adult settings. She is a skilled clinician with experience in treating individuals across the lifespan with the overarching goal of increasing independence and participation in meaningful, everyday activities.
Her focus is primarily working with neurodivergent individuals (Autism, ADHD, mental health conditions) and their families in order to collaboratively build wellness plans, routine modifications, and navigate barriers to success and independent living. Dr. Katherine Lewis consults one-on-one with patients and parents to help teach and implement strategies that can be applied to their lives across all settings including home, school, and work. With virtual visits, she is able to reach individuals and families across North Carolina. She also offers in-person appointments to those local to the Charlotte area.
Dr. Lewis moved to North Carolina after finishing her doctoral program in search of further opportunities to grow as a clinician. She completed her undergraduate degree at Virginia Tech in Human Development and Psychology. During her time in undergrad, she worked as a certified nursing assistant, where she learned first-hand the nature of caregiving. Her experience in healthcare led her to explore the world of occupational therapy, and she soon was a graduate of the Virginia Commonwealth University Doctorate of Occupational Therapy program.
When not lending a helping hand, Dr. Lewis enjoys attending yoga classes, reading, traveling, and appreciating the simple pleasures in life.
