Reflexologist
FOCUS: Nervous System • Vagal Nerve Tone • Trauma • PTSD • Anxiety • Physical Recovery • Accident & Illness Recovery • Whole System Balancing
Kathryn is a Nationally Board Certified Reflexologist through the American Reflexology Certification Board. She is trained through the Academy of Reflective Wellness in Salisbury, North Carolina. Having completed a 300-hour initial certification course of Hand and Foot Reflexology with a focus in Traditional Chinese Medical theory, she continued her education with certifications in Facial Reflexology or Dien Chan, the Brain Gut Axis, Korean Hand, and Ear Reflexology.
Her focus is derived through the principles of whole body wellness that encapsulates mental, emotional, physical, and spiritual wellness. She is a trauma-informed practitioner with extensive training of the vagus nerve used to calm and balance the nervous system. Her work in Reflexology provides stress relief, relaxation, and alleviation for a wide spectrum of conditions allowing for wellness and recovery of all body systems and structures. Her clients use Reflexology for various issues ranging from calming the nervous system, physical injury recovery, stroke recovery, PTSD, and lymphatic drainage, to pregnancy and postpartum support. Her work is tailored to the modern approach of Reflexology that is proven to facilitate faster results by being intentionally stylized as gentle and non-invasive. She is incredibly intentional about holding space so that the body can naturally heal itself. Reflexology is appropriate for all ages and accessible to all bodies.
Kathryn is currently on the Board of the North Carolina Reflexology Association who is actively working with Representatives and lobbyists in Raleigh to pass legislation allowing Reflexologists in the State of North Carolina to continue to work without over regulation from outside modalities. This legislation, if passed will secure the highest standards for education and practices to ensure that Reflexologists in North Carolina are supremely qualified to work with patients appropriately.
Before finding her love of Reflexology Kathryn graduated Magna Cum Laude from the University of North Carolina at Charlotte with a Bachelor’s degree in Philosophy and Women’s and Gender Studies.
Outside of Reflexology Kathryn finds joy in painting, dancing, and music. You may even find her teaching the occasional primal movement class or roller skating in the city.
