what is A DIETITIAN?
A Registered Dietitian (RD) is a highly-trained nutritionist who uses the science of food to support clients in healthy eating. Some dietitians choose to work in hospitals or for large corporations needing meal planning. However, IVYs dietitian works as a personal consultant that customizes meal plans to help you achieve your personal health goals.
All RDs earn a degree from an accredited program, complete a 1200 hour internship, pass a registration exam, and obtain licensure in their state of practice. For more information, visit North Carolina's Board of Dietetics/Nutrition.
